Incluso los alumnos con discapacidades \u201cgraves\u201d y aquellos que se encuentran en colocaciones m\u00e1s restrictivas deben contar con IEP que determinen c\u00f3mo van a participar y progresar en el programa de estudios general. Por lo tanto, los IEP no deben limitarse a habilidades funcionales para la vida y actividades de autoayuda, sino que tambi\u00e9n deben incluir metas que permitan a cada alumno acceder y progresar en el plan de estudios general.<sup><a href=\"#footnote_1_1022\" id=\"identifier_1_1022\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"34 C.F.R.
