(5.41) My child is placed in a non-public school under an IEP. Can they receive related services from the school district if they need these services to benefit from education, and the services are not available from the nonpublic school, including a religious school?

If the IEP team placed your child at a non-religious, non-public school (NPS), the district is obligated to ensure that the NPS provides the child with the appropriate related services as written in the child’s IEP.[1] If the NPS cannot provide the services, the district must make the services available to your child. This may require delivery of services at the NPS site.
