(11.9) Should my student take the ELPAC even if they have an IEP?

Yes. All children with disabilities must be included in state assessments, including the ELPAC, with appropriate accommodations or alternate assessments.[1] The student’s IEP team must determine what accommodations or alternative assessments are necessary for the student to access the ELPAC, and document them in the IEP.[2]
