The regional center or school district, after receiving parental consent to screening of the child, must complete the assessment activities, hold a meeting to determine eligibility, and develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) within 45 calendar days of the date it receives the written or oral referral for early intervention services.[1] With the parent’s/guardian’s/other education rights holder’s consent, services may begin before completion of the assessment.[2]
