You may file a complaint regarding discrimination, harassment, intimidation or bullying using the local complaint investigation process.[1] It must be filed within six months of: (1) the conduct or (2) the date you first learned of the conduct. The District Superintendent may extend the six-month filing period by 90 days for good cause, upon a written request that describes the reasons for needing the extension.[2]
The local investigation must be conducted in a manner that protects the confidentiality of the parties and the facts.[3] You may file a complaint directly with CDE if it meets one of the conditions for direct state intervention, as described above.[4]
